Good Evening Everyone,
The end of the semester is upon us! Before we all leave for break, I just wanted to send out a few quick last updates for everyone.
1) Jazz Band Spring Trip: Don't forget that the $50 deposit and tax credit donations made toward the spring trip need to be done by the end of the month, if at all possible. Tax credit donations do take some time to process and to be added to accounts, so the sooner those can be made, the better, and of course, don't forget if you have additional family members, family friends, etc. who are willing to make donations as well, every bit helps! Please don't hesitate to reach out should you have any questions, and make sure to send me a copy of your receipt so I can be on the lookout for the funds to go into the correct account.
2) Calendar sales for Guard and Jazz Band: Please turn in all monies for calendar sales, along with any unsold calendars, this week. It is very important that we have all calendars accounted for when we leave for break!
3) Band and Orchestra: The calendar for the spring semester has been updated on the music booster website with all known dates and activities for next semester. Please make sure to look it over.
4) Tax Credits Needed: With the end of the year upon us, now is the time to make tax credit donations if you haven't done so already. This is also a great time to reach out to family friends, colleagues, coworkers, and other relatives here in Arizona and ask them to support us! Tax credit donations make a HUGE impact on our annual budget and give us the ability to provide the very best opportunities for our students, and of course, the best part is that anyone that files Arizona state taxes can make a donation to help us out and then get that money back on their tax return! If you have questions about the tax credit process and how to make sure that your tax credit goes to support our Band and Orchestra program, please don't hesitate to reach out!
5) Student Reminder: With the end of the semester right around the corner, please make sure to take all belongings with you for break. This includes jackets, water bottles, shoes, lunchboxes, backpacks, and yes, your instrument. Keep in mind that the room will not be regularly heated and cooled over break, so it can really mess with your strings for my orchestra students, and for winds, you'll want to have an instrument at home to keep your chops in shape and to prepare for auditions!
I hope you all have a terrific and restful break! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation!!!
