This Week’s Information

I have a few quick announcements for everyone for this week. I'll keep it pretty brief, but please make sure to look everything over.

1) Tomorrow night is our Jazz Band Fundraiser Concert at the Green Valley CPAC! The concert is at 7:00 and will feature special guests from the Green Valley Stage Band. We'd love to have as many people as possible there for this concert, and you can still purchase tickets online at the Green Valley CPAC website. Please share this info with your friends, family, and neighbors so we can sell as many tickets as possible. Remember, there will also be a Valentine's Dessert Auction taking place!

2) Congratulations to Winterguard and Indoor Percussion on great performances and placements at their home show yesterday. Out of 13 groups, Sahuarita Winterguard took home third place, and Indoor Percussion took home second out of 7 groups. Also, a HUGE thank you to everyone who showed up to help out, many of whom spent their whole day helping. We appreciate you!

3) This Friday and Saturday is the Regional Band and Orchestra Honors Festival for all students who auditioned and earned spots in the festival. The festival is held at Sahuaro High School. For Friday (2/16), students will need to arrive at the band room by 6:50A. We will depart no later than 7:00A. We will return to the band room by 6:30P. On Saturday (2/17), students should again arrive to the band room by 6:50A, and we will depart at 7:00A. Additional information about the festival is in the student letters that each student received with their music after the auditions. The concerts begin at 3:00, and parents are responsible for taking their student home from the concert at Sahuaro HS on Saturday.
