Good Afternoon Everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment and send out a few quick reminders on things that are coming up, but first I want to say a huge congratulations on a job well done this past weekend to both Anya with the All-State Choir and Indoor Percussion at State Championships. You've all represented us and SHS beautifully and we're very proud of you!
I also want to say a huge congratulations to Karen Cornaby and Mia Vazquez for receiving Senior Scholarships from Green Valley Concert Band, as well as congratulations to Mya Lennox, Molly Maldonado, and Lucy Sefton for receiving scholarships to NAU Curry Music Camp this summer from GVCB!
For Jazz Band Students and Parents: Please don't forget that we have our meeting for all travelers, chaperones, and parents tomorrow night in the band room at 6:00. This will be a quick, but important meeting. Please do your best to be on time.
Upcoming Dress Rehearsals and Concert Information:
This list has previously been sent out, but there is one addition (the annual Band and Orchestra banquet) now that the facilities are confirmed. Please make sure to look these dates over carefully!
Apr. 23 4:00-6:00P: Symphonic Band Dress Rehearsal 
Apr. 25 4:00-6:00P: Symphonic Band Dress Rehearsal (this date was changed from April 30 to provide an extra rehearsal before Symphonic Band travels to State Festival)
Apr. 26: Symphonic Band performance at State Concert Festival (Mountain View High School – Mesa)
May 7 4:00-6:00P: Symphonic Band Dress Rehearsal
May 9 6:00P: Band and Orchestra Banquet (dinner); 7:00P: Band and Orchestra Banquet (awards) *more info on the banquet will be coming out soon*
May 13 6:00P: Band and Orchestra Spring Concert (this date was changed just prior to spring break due to a double booking on our original date at the SUSD auditorium)
May 22: SHS Graduation – This is a required performance for all Band and Orchestra students. More information will come out about call time, etc. once it becomes available.
