Dear Parents, We had a great first official run of our show DeComposer's for our season, we finished 1st out of 6 bands in our division scoring a 66.4 on our show with the top score in Music, General Effect, Visual Performance, and Percussion WOW! Dear Parents, Homecoming is a busy week for every high school student, teacher and parent. I reflect on each year the school spirit and camaraderie that is made here at Sahuarita High School. On September 27, 2018, Sahuarita USD will join schools across Arizona in observance of Legendary Teacher Day. Legendary Teacher Day is a day to think about the teacher(s) who went above and beyond and invested in your personal success. Tributes can be submitted online at http://susd30.us/legendary-teacher/. New this year, Dr. Clement has partnered with Pima County School Superintendent, Dustin Williams. The Pima County School Superintendent's Office will use these submissions to randomly select teachers to receive gift cards and spotlight on social media. The Pima County School Superintendent Award will also be chosen from these submissions and receive a special recognition.
Monday, September 17th at 5:45pm in the band room we will hold a travel planning meeting for the San Antonio Travel. This meeting is focused on understanding tax credits, grants and other fundraising opportunities for your child to meet their travel goals. Please find time to attend this 45 minute meeting.
Dear Parents, WOW we have had two home games in a row where the team went into overtime. Thank you for your patients as we supported the team to the end of the game, won or lose we showed our Mustang Pride all night. Thank you to everyone who has donated batteries, we have enough! If you have not donated a case of water yet please do so in the next week or so, we are getting into our performance season and we will go through a lot of water from now to November. Our travel to San Antonio has been decided, we will travel Wednesday, April 3 though Sunday, April 7th.
