Parents and Students,
I hope your weekend is off to a great start! Here is your info for this upcoming week:
1) From our boosters, a quick note about photos and photo order deadlines:
The link to view the photos from our picture day is here:
Senior parents: Please choose which photo you would like to use on your senior banner and select “Other Products” to find the 36″ x 60″ Senior Sports Banner option to add to the cart. In the “instructions” section, please enter the name of your student and which instrument they play, or if they are part of Color Guard. In order for banners to arrive by our first game on September 1st, you'll need to have your banner photo chosen and paid for by Monday, Aug. 28.
For all other grades: When ordering your photos, in the “Instructions” section, please enter the name of your student and which instrument they play, or if they are part of Color Guard. Receive free shipping on all orders placed by September 1st.
2) For this week's schedule:
Evening Rehearsal Tuesday, 8/29: 5:00-8:30
Percussion and Guard Sectionals Thursday, 8/31: 3:45-6:00
First Football Game Friday, 9/1 (Schedule Below):
4:45P – Tailgate (Dinner) provided to all students. Percussion eats first so they can move equipment.
5:00P – Uniform checkout begins
5:40P – All students in uniform / Uniform and Instrument inspection in concert arc in the courtyard
5:45P – Music warm-up / rehearsal in courtyard
6:35P – Move to Gym
6:40P – Cadence from Gym to Stadium
6:50P – Star Spangled Banner and Tunnel
7:00P – Game Begins
Halftime performance occurs anywhere from 8:00-8:30P depending on the game.
Game end times vary anywhere from as early as 9:15 or so until as late as 10:00, depending on the game. We stay until the end of the game, even if it goes into overtime. Once the game is over, we return to the courtyard for clean-up and dismissal instructions. If parents aren't able to attend the game, I highly encourage students to immediately text or call parents as soon as we return to the band room. Once back inside the band room, students are officially dismissed, and it typically takes students around 20-30 minutes or so to pack up equipment and instruments, change, and check-in uniforms.
Have a great week everyone, and I look forward to seeing you all at the game on Friday!
