Week at a Glance
Monday – rehearsal 5:45-8:15 on the field, students may stay after if they need to (last night)
Tuesday – prop construction in the Art room 3:30-5:30 (selected student group)
Wednesday – NA – Class fee collection during class $$$
Thursday – Percussion Rehearsal 3:30-6pm
Friday – rehearsal (everyone) 4:30-8:30pm – Movie night, RANGO a cartoon rated PG lasting 1hr and 50 minutes, 8:55-10:45pm (not required to stay) This should be a fun event for students watch a fun movie based on a western theme, just like our SHOW! Desert Sky Cinema in GV is supplying the popcorn for FREE! If students choose to stay for the movie we ask that they stay the entire time and will sign in when the movie starts and will sign out if they leave early. Students will not be allowed to come and go, once they leave they need to stay off school grounds. All parent pick up must be on the east of the school next to the band room gate, please.
Saturday – car wash 8:30am – 1:30pm at Startbucks on Old Nogales HWY across from Wal Mart

Curriculum –
Students will have MPH this week if they do not pass their music test Monday. The purpose of these required 25 minute music sectionals during the school day is to help students struggling with the music or memorization develop the tools to be successful. Students can retest at anytime during the week to work toward a higher score. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Parent Help needed:
Please visit our sign up genius and sign up to assist with our upcoming season, I have added to events since last week. We have our car wash Saturday, August 24th at the new Starbucks on Duval. Please have your child turn in the money and any unsold tickets by Friday. Please help your child make our goal, this fundraiser will raise money to purchase the supplies for our field show props/paint ($700) and wheels($430). We need your help!
Financial Business:
If you have not paid for the following please do so ASAP, unpaid fee emails went out Sunday.
Camp enrichment and meals = $25 and tailgate meals for school events $20 all to the SHS Music Boosters, send a check any day to school or bring a card on Aug. 27th
Dance shoes = $35, blue shirt $12, SHS Camp fee $40 , all to SUSD #30, please pay in the front office during class Wednesday, $$$.
