What an amazing week for Sahuarita Indoor Percussion! After performing at the assembly on Wednesday, we received so much praise from teachers, administrators, and students! Not to mention a first place finish at Basha with a score of 85.2!!! We have made such great strides in our show, and continue to impress the judges and spectators alike. The feedback I received at critique was very positive to say the least. With five days left in the season, we can’t lose momentum or become complacent. Gold won’t be handed to us; we have to earn it. Below is the schedule for Championship Week!!!

This is our final opportunity to run our show before State Championships. Your child is expected to stay after school to spend time with the SMS Drumline and warm-up for the performance. It starts at 6:30 and shouldn’t take longer than an hour. I encourage all parents to attend, especially if you haven’t made it to any competitions this season. Our production is truly special.

WGAZ State Championships
The primary info is in the attachment that will also be sent home with your child at tomorrow’s rehearsal. We have exhausted our Gatorade supply, and could use a few more snacks. We are good on chaperones; Mrs. Keele and Mrs. Varner will be riding the bus and Mr. & Mrs. Hancock will drive the Equipment Trailer. Mrs. Garcia and Mr. Kneup will also be in attendance!!!
I know I sign every email off the same way, but I am sincerely grateful to direct this ensemble. We have truly made history and I’m so proud of the work we’ve all done. I’m sad to see this season come to an end, but this is the first of many great seasons to come. We’ve made history… together.
Thank you!
