Hello all,

Parent Info Meeting
Monday, November 16 at 7pm is our parent meeting. Here we will go over the handbook, fee structure, rehearsal schedule, volunteer needs, and policies/procedures. I will also address the guidance from district that caused us to cut our rehearsal short on Friday. The safety of the students/staff is our number one priority, and we will discuss this more in depth on Monday evening. Parents and students are required to attend. If there is a conflict, please let me know personally via email. The meeting login info is at the bottom of this email.

Auditions
Due to percussion rehearsal being cut short on Friday, we did not get to audition the members of the front ensemble. The front ensemble staff and myself have watched the students play throughout our audition clinics/rehearsals, so we will make the best decision for the members and the group based on previous assessments. Instrument placement will remain tentative, so we may move people around on instrumentation through December to make sure we have the best possible ensemble. We will not start working on show music until December, so we have the opportunity to really develop fundamental technique on everyone’s instrument assignment.

I want to personally thank everyone for their hard work over the past couple weeks. It’s so cool to see everyone drumming and learning together. I would like to reiterate that the health and safety of our students continues to be my number one priority.
