I apologize for the delay in this email. We have been waiting on information from WGAZ about purchasing tickets for this week’s show. Below is very detailed information about the upcoming 2 weeks.

Last Week’s Score
We received our scores from last week. We received a rating of “Good”. Our score did drastically improve. We will listen to judges’ commentary at tonight’s rehearsal so everyone has time to eat after Concert Band Rehearsal.

Our first in person show is on Saturday. The itinerary is attached. We are allowed 2 tickets per performer.

Tickets are $8 each, and must be purchased online https://gofan.co/app/events/261285

If you don’t plan on using your child’s tickets, please let me know via email. If you’d like to purchase more than 2 tickets, also let me know so I can make sure we have available slots.

We will NOT be allowing parents on the bus for this event. However, you are encouraged to attend because the only spectators in the gym will be the ones we bring.

Road Meals

Saturday is our first road show, and historically we have had our snacks generously donated by parents. Please let me know if you’re willing to sponsor our snack for this weekend. We should plan to feed 35-40 students/staff. Food should be individually wrapped. The idea is to give everyone a grab-and-go snack after we unload equipment so they have energy to last the warm-up and performance. We still have plenty of Gatorade, so drinks aren’t necessary.

Students will need to bring money for dinner in Marana on the way home.

Check-out process
We anticipate that several parents are going to attend the event this weekend. It is ill-advised to have students check-out at the event and ride back with their parents. Unloading the trailer and truck is no easy feat, and we need everyone’s help to move quickly when we return to SHS. If you absolutely must check out your child at the event, it will be after we load the trailer (see itinerary).

Champ Camp

We will not have Monday or Wednesday Rehearsal next week because of Spring Break.

Thursday, March 18 – 8:00-8:00
Friday, March 19 – 8:00-8:00

We will stage the final movement and incorporate the final props to put the finishing touches on our production. Attendance is mandatory, as it has been on the calendar since October. Personal work schedules are NOT a valid excuse. Please plan your work schedules accordingly.

We still have several people who have not paid their booster contribution. Please make your payment ASAP, or contact me directly if you are experiencing financial hardship.

We have 6 weeks left of the season… and I am so proud of the hard work put in by the performers, parents and staff. We are going to CRUSH IT this weekend.
