Good Afternoon Everyone,My apologies for just getting an email out today. I've been burning the candle on both ends and have hardly a minute to spare. This is just a friendly reminder that tomorrow evening we have our winter band concert in the SUSD Auditorium at 6:00. Students should arrive at the auditorium no later than 5:30. Since the orchestra has a separate concert this year, it should be a relatively quick show.Dress for the concert is all black with a splash of holiday color. Good Evening Everyone,I just had a couple of quick things to send out to everyone:1) Tomorrow's Orchestra Day rehearsal for strings (and winds and percussion) is from 6:00-8:00 in the WGHS Cafeteria. Please allow adequate time to get to Walden, get to the cafeteria, and set up.2) Call time for the Winter Light Parade on Saturday is 4:30, and the parade begins at 6:00. Parents and Students,I hope everyone had a great long weekend! First, a huge congratulations and thank you to our band students for their performance at the Veteran's Day ceremony at American Legion Post 66 yesterday. Parents,I just wanted to send a quick reminder to parents who help us out at football games, competitions, travel, etc.To volunteer, parents must complete two very important things:The first is the parent volunteer application found here: https://susd30.us/families/volunteers/Fingerprinting is not required for custodial parents.The second is to complete the notarized criminal affidavit, which can be accessed via a link at the same place where you will find the application.We've had a couple of parents that have tried to turn in the criminal affidavit without completing the application.
