Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe our first show is here and it is also the show that we are hosting! Your child should have brought home a yellow paper with the details of the event on Friday. This week will be extremely busy with last minute details for hosting our show, and rehearsals with the students to make sure we have a great first competition performance. Thank you to everyone who has donated to the beverage contest, our last day is Monday, tomorrow. We have received a lot of drinks and look forward to revealing the winning section Monday evening at rehearsal. Your support has been amazing!
Curriculum:
Students should turn in late objective sheets this week by Wednesday. Students will be asked to participate in MPH for both Monday and Tuesday or until they turn in their objective sheet with a grade of 21 or higher out of 30. Students will be testing the beginning of Part IV on Wednesday this week for memory up to measure 209. Guard will need to know all of part III for the music test this week.
Fundraising:
Our two biggest fundraiser of the semester are happening right now. Our online email fundraiser has been going on for 1 week and we have raised over $4,500 our goal is $10,000 by the end of the three week campaign. Remember you can also share the video to your social media as well. Funds raised will help pay for uniforms and flags for future shows. Our other biggest fundraiser is hosting the AzMBA Show this Saturday, October 5th here at Sahuarita. We still need parents to sign up to work a shift on Saturday, shifts and work assignments have many different skill sets. Parent Help Needed:
You will receive an email this week from the committee head of your work category by Thursday this week to describe your work assignment for Oct. 5th. If you have other questions after reading your work assignment don’t worry I will be available Friday evening from 6:30-8pm during parent pick up time to answer any of your questions in person or give me a call this week if you feel the need to talk by phone. I can’t wait to see how awesome our event will be with your support! If you are loaning us your pop up shades or coolers please deliver them on Friday, Oct. 4th anytime during the day or no later than 8pm. We do not have storage space earlier in the week.

Wednesday – Guard 2:45- 5:30
Thursday – Perc 3:30 – 6pm, Review for students with musical needs 3:30-5:30 (list of about 8-10 students), Choir/Orchestra/Jazz Concert 7:30 pm Auditorium
Friday – half day and rehearsal – 2pm – 7pm (beverage contest winners dinner)
Saturday – First Contest of the 2019 Season! AzMBA at Sahuarita we perform at 6:30pm
Friday, Oct. 11 (fall break) – rehearsal 9am-4pm bring lunch, 5pm tailgate, 7pm home Varsity Football Game
